A fresh petition has been filed against Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over allegations that he helped one of his female media aides travel on domestic flights using multiple identities.
The petition, dated July 12, 2026, was submitted to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, with copies sent to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The petitioner, who identified himself as a concerned employee in Nigeria's aviation industry, called for an urgent investigation into what he described as repeated breaches of aviation security and passenger identification procedures.
According to the petition, the female aide had allegedly been banned by Air Peace over previous misconduct but continued flying on the airline under different names. It further alleged that Peter Obi accompanied her on several trips and intervened whenever airport officials attempted to verify her identity.
The petitioner claimed flight records and Passenger Name Records (PNRs) were attached to support the allegations and urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
