The man of means who closeth his heart to the plea of the destitute hath either forgotten the undeserved kindness shown him by his Creator, or lacketh the gratitude that should move him to compassion. For every blessing received is a trust to be shared, and he who hoardeth it alone shall one day stand empty-handed before eternity.
