The Enugu State Executive Council has approved a series of infrastructure, housing and tourism projects aimed at accelerating economic growth and supporting the administration’s target of expanding the state’s economy from $4 billion to $30 billion within eight years. The approvals include the completion and upgrade of the State Secretariat, construction of 1,000 new housing units, development of 18,000 mass housing units, new road projects and flood control works across the state.

The council also approved landmark tourism projects, including the Okpatu–Awhum Cable Car, Ovu Lake Golf Resort, and the Akwuke and Attakwu tourism developments. The projects are expected to boost tourism, attract investment, create jobs and enhance Enugu’s position as a leading destination for business, leisure and sustainable urban development.
