Your Excellencies, Esteemed African Leaders in the 54 African Continents 240 million Nigerians write to you with respect and with a deep concern shared by millions of Africans across all regions of our continent. The recent approval of the Nigeria–Morocco gas pipeline is a positive and historic step, but many citizens are asking the same urgent question: When will this project truly begin, and when will it be completed?

Africa has witnessed many announcements, groundbreaking ceremonies, and signed agreements that never materialized into real development. This is not a criticism of any individual leader, but a reflection of a long-standing pattern that has kept our continent in poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment.

We respectfully request:

A clear and public timeline for the start and completion of the Nigeria–Morocco gas pipeline.

A transparent hiring plan that ensures Africans from all 54 nations are included in the workforce and economic benefits.

A commitment to exclude countries that engage in xenophobic practices against fellow Africans from participating in or benefiting from this project.

Our intention is not to insult or disrespect any leader. Our intention is to demand accountability, transparency, and unity. Africa cannot rise if major continental projects are delayed indefinitely or if Africans continue to face discrimination from one another.

This pipeline has the potential to transform energy access, create jobs, and strengthen regional cooperation. But it will only do so if it moves forward with urgency, clarity, and fairness.

We ask that you provide a public date for commencement, a projected completion timeline, and a continental hiring framework so that Africans can trust that this project will not remain an announcement but become a reality.
