"Marcus Rashford is expected to be reintegrated into the squad. He will return for pre-season training after the £40M exit clause (excluding Liverpool and Manchester City) expired on 15 July. Any future move would now require a full negotiation.

Rashford only wants to stay at Manchester United if he remains in England, but he would consider top European clubs such as Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid if offers arrive. If Rashford stays, it saves United a transfer fee and agent commissions on a new winger, freeing up resources for midfield.

The club will also need to decide whether they can sell Joshua Zirkzee and for how much, as that will help shape their budget. There are both free-agent midfielders (potentially on high wages) and players requiring transfer fees available, so United have plenty of factors to consider as they work through their plans."
