Coronation Merchant Bank has named Obeahon Ohiwerei as its new Managing Director and CEO, following CBN approval. Mr Ohiwerei, formerly MD of Keystone Bank, Executive Director at Access Bank, and Pioneer MD of UBA Ghana, takes charge of a well-capitalised institution fresh off its tenth anniversary, a completed recapitalisation, and a Fitch 'B-' IDR with Stable Outlook.

He succeeds Paul Abiagam, whose leadership shaped the bank's strategic transformation. Two new Independent Non-Executive Directors, Ms Nana-Adjua Mensah and Mrs Adetola Owolabi, also join the Board, further deepening its governance depth.
