BELIEVERS FINAL AUTHORITY

Matthew 18:17 KJV
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

One of the basic and unfortunate facts of the new breed of believers that we have today is their ignorance of the word of God. So many of them believe they know something and are vast in the knowledge of the things of God. The truth is that many of them do not know anything and are far from the instructions of God concerning a believer. Jesus said in the text that the final place where a believer should go to in order to settle a matter is the Church. This is why Paul buttressed it by saying that it is wrong for us to take a case between us and fellow believers to judges.
1 Corinthians 6:1-7 KJV
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? [2] Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? [3] Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? [4] If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. [5] I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? [6] But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. [7] Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
This means that the final authority over any issue should be the Church. Can you now wonder when you see young folks take the case of the Church to social media for the world to judge them? Can you now see when young folks no longer submit to the leadership of the Church but take the role of the elders and leaders thereby judging and abusing them online? Do you now see the ignorance in the young folks who refuse to take instructions from the Church or leadership of the Church but turn themselves into judges of the Church.
Beloved, if Jesus is your leader, you must restrict yourself basically to His instructions at all times. You must learn to follow this instruction and submit under the authority of the Church if you are yet to be appointed by God to lead in any capacity. Even when Moses was wrong, God did not permit Miriam to judge him. Let there be silence henceforth and every instruction should come from the leadership of the Church even when you have a better idea as a subordinate. It's only God that will judge the leaders He appointed and not you.
