A patient called me few minutes ago to prepare him for the FIFA World cup final. This sounds funny but he did the right thing.

Please if you know you are high blood pressure or your BP spikes at any single change in heart beat, please if possible avoid watching this world cup final today, even if you will, try and check your blood pressure before, during and after the match. I have heard cases of sudden collapse which lead to passing away of the patient because he watches AFCON final. A lot of people have travelled to the great beyond due to this effect, please call your loved ones, BP is not a disease of the elderly alone, a 20 year can have BP emergency which might lead to his or untimely passing if early interventions are not made.
Football is supposed to bring us joy not sorrow.
