💥 Troops rescue 46 students from ISWAP abduction in Borno

Nigerian troops foiled a mass abduction attempt by suspected ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College, Monguno, Borno State, rescuing 46 students.

Operation HADIN KAI forces, supported by Nigeria Police Mobile Force personnel, repelled the attack in the early hours of Sunday. The military disclosed the operation in a statement by the Acting Military Information Officer.

The attempted abduction echoes past insurgent attacks on schools in Nigeria's northeast, where ISWAP and Boko Haram have previously targeted students. Monguno, in northern Borno, lies within a region that has long been a flashpoint for militant activity.
