Shettima Represents Tinubu at 69th ECOWAS Summit in Sierra Leone.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Freetown, Sierra Leone, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 69th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The high-level regional summit, holding on Sunday at the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre in Freetown, will bring together Heads of State and Government, ministers, senior government officials and regional institutions to deliberate on issues affecting West Africa.

The meeting is expected to focus on key policy decisions and strategic resolutions aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in the areas of peace, democracy, security, economic growth and sustainable development.

Leaders at the summit are also expected to discuss measures to deepen economic integration, enhance trade among member states and address the region's evolving security challenges.

Representing Nigeria at the gathering, Shettima will participate in discussions alongside political and business leaders from across West Africa as ECOWAS seeks to reinforce its commitment to regional stability and development.

According to the Presidency, the Vice President will return to Abuja after concluding his official engagements at the summit.
