World Cup Final: Argentina Raises Concerns Over Spain's Scheduling Advantage.

Argentina have lodged a complaint with FIFA over what they believe is an unfair advantage handed to Spain ahead of Sunday's FIFA World Cup final.

Head coach Lionel Scaloni expressed frustration with the tournament schedule, arguing that Spain benefited from an additional day of rest before the decisive clash. While Argentina secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 comeback victory over England on Wednesday, Spain defeated France 2-0 a day earlier, giving the European champions more time to recover.

Scaloni also criticised FIFA's scheduling of Argentina's training session, revealing that his team was required to train in the intense afternoon heat in New York shortly after arriving in the city.

"We arrived last night around 11:00, and today we were forced to train at a time that was not ideal for us," Scaloni told reporters during his pre-match press conference.

He explained that media obligations and other official commitments disrupted the team's preparations, leaving little time for a meaningful training session ahead of the final.

"It was a brief and unusual training session that did not allow us to practice effectively. Our priority now is recovery because some players are still not at full fitness. We will assess their condition before the match," he said.

Despite his concerns, Scaloni insisted that Argentina remain focused on their own performance while acknowledging the quality of their opponents.

The Argentina coach also praised the unwavering support of the team's fans throughout the tournament, describing it as a major source of motivation as the defending champions seek to retain the title they won four years ago.

Argentina and Spain will meet in Sunday's World Cup final, with Lionel Messi aiming to lead the South Americans to another historic triumph, while Spain chase their second FIFA World Cup title.
