#16 and #17 Introducing food from around the world

LL fam, This is Shakshuka (Top) and Syrniki (Bottom).

Shakshuka is a Middle Eastern & North African dish made with eggs gently poached in a rich sauce of tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, garlic, olive oil, and warming spices like cumin and paprika. Fresh herbs like parsley/ cilantro are often added for a bright finish. It this case, it was cream cheese. I came across this while traveling in Georgia, proving that great food knows no borders!

And on the bottom, Syrniki, is a traditional eastern European pancakes. These are soft and lightly golden made primarily from cheese, eggs, flour, and a little bit of sugar and vanilla. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are often served with sour cream, honey, jam, fresh berries or yogurt. A perfect breakfast!
