That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned...Romans 5:12

This verse reminds us why suffering, sickness, and death exist. Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world, and its effects reached all mankind. Yet this is not the end of the story. Jehovah did not abandon humanity. Out of his great love, he provided Jesus Christ as the ransom so that faithful people can have the hope of everlasting life.

As we begin this day, let us remember that although we live in an imperfect world, we are not without hope. We can strive to resist sin, imitate Christ, and remain faithful to Jehovah, knowing that his promises will surely be fulfilled.
