HIGH DRAMA AS SENATE CONFIRMS PROF. FASINA AS AMBASSADOR

High drama ensued inside the Nigerian Senate on Thursday as the upper legislative chamber confirmed Professor, Abayomi Fasina as non-career ambassador despite some lawmakers kicking vehemently against the appointment over allegations of sexual harassment.

SENATE approved the appointment based on the CLEAN BILL of health given by its Committee on Foreign Affairs,
security clearance by both the Police, and the Department of State Services as well as testimonies from the governing board of the University of Ado-Ekiti where the nominee served as Vice Chancellor.
