🇳🇬🪖TROOPS N£UTR@LISE TWO ISWAP T£RR⁰R!STS IN AMBUSH NEAR UNIMAID, MAIDUGURI

Troops of the 73 Battalion under Operation Hadin Kai, in conjunction with local vigilantes, have n£utr@lised two suspected ISWAP t£rr0r!sts during a successful ambush along the Tamsukawu Road behind the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) in Borno State.

The operation was conducted at about 12:15 a.m. on July 16 when troops lying in ambush engaged the terrorists moving along the route.
A fierce gun battle ensued, resulting in the neutralisation of the two t£rr0r!sts, while others fled into nearby bushes.

Troops conducted exploitation of the surrounding area but made no further contact.

This operation is part of sustained efforts to deny t£rr0r!sts freedom of movement around Maiduguri and its outskirts.

Security in the theatre remains under control, with troops maintaining high alert.
