Another shocker has come from the United States with the suspension of all aid to Nigeria. The real question is: what exactly is the benefit of all these security delegations travelling to America? The same question applies to the President’s endless trips around the world in search of investors. Our leaders are turning themselves into a laughing stock. The world is watching Nigeria drown in insecurity and horrific headlines, yet there is no decisive action from those in power. No country or serious investor will put money into a nation that cannot guarantee safety. Leadership begins at home — they must sit down, confront the problems, and restore peace. Investment grows naturally where stability exists. You cannot beg people to walk into fire; it will never work.
