An open Letter to His Excellency
Dear Senator/Governor Okpebholo!
A few meters away from your Prestige project First Flyover in Benin City lies an abandoned street once Tarred(Asphalted) by the World Bank. Commissioned by then Governor Igbinedion and his SSG Pastor Ize-Iyamu. It is now like a pathway in the villages. This road is at the heart of Benin.
This street use to be a commercial hub in the area. It is an access road to Bendel Brewery along Agbor road, and a link to College road Aduwawa, Auchi road.
Tenants and Landlords moved away because of the devastation of Erosion. The popular Pimon Guesthouse, Abu Igbafe Motors, Steve Imafidon, private schools and many more use to call the street home.
What use is democracy if we have no roof over our heads. Successive Administrations have promised rehabilitation to no avail.
The people are drowning in their beds at night.
We trust in your able leadership, Akpako rescue!!!
