Argentina’s hero, Lautaro Martinez, was overcome with emotion after firing La Albiceleste into yet another FIFA World Cup final.

Reflecting on the unforgettable night, the striker admitted he struggled to find the right words, describing the achievement as a lifelong dream that began when his father bought him his very first football boots.

Lautaro said reaching another World Cup final means far more than scoring goals. Having his children in the stands made the occasion even more special, adding that they have helped him become calmer and enjoy football—and life—even more.

He also praised teammate Enzo Fernández for his brilliant goal and credited Argentina’s composure for turning the match around.

According to Lautaro, their opponents pressed with great intensity for about an hour before running out of energy. Argentina remained patient, took control of possession, pushed higher up the pitch, and eventually found the breakthrough that led to victory.
