The unequal treatment of citizens in this country is so glaring and unfortunate.
A couple of weeks ago a Fulani ardo was ambushed and killed in Benue state by unknown persons. And rightly so the state governor, the Sultan of Sokoto, the SGF George Akume and many other top political leaders strongly condemned the incident and insisted on justice. So far the police have arrested an 80-year-old man and other local chiefs over the incident.

But since then several people have been killed in different parts of Idoma land both at farms and in their houses by Fulani gunmen but so far not a word from the same people who raised outcry over the death of the ardo! And no arrests.

How do we foster love and unity in the face of such unequal treatment of citizens?
