Your Excellency President Tinubu and Esteemed Governors of the 36 States, Opposition parties, independent candidates, Courts, EFCC 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern shared by millions of Nigerians across all 774 Local Government Areas. Families are struggling under rising costs, and the recent proposal to increase WAEC and NECO registration fees has intensified fears that education is becoming inaccessible for the children of the poor.
240 million Nigerian parents already face overwhelming financial pressure from books, uniforms, transportation, and basic living expenses. An increase in exam fees risks pushing countless children out of school, not because they lack ability, but because their families cannot afford mandatory examinations.
We respectfully demand urgent action to protect the future of Nigerian children:
Provide free and safe housing for all 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
Build new hospitals and guarantee free healthcare for all 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
Invest heavily in farming and food production to reduce hunger and unemployment.
Strengthen security and intensify efforts to eliminate Boko Haram and all forms of terrorism.
Remove all fees associated with education and ensure free schooling from primary level to PhD in the 36 states 774 LGA
Education is the foundation of national development. When children cannot afford to write WAEC or NECO, the nation loses future doctors, engineers, teachers, and leaders. No child should be denied opportunity because of poverty. Abolish all fees with all due respect sirs
We demand you to act decisively. The people of Nigeria expect leadership that protects the poor, expands opportunity, and ensures that every child has a ladder to climb.
