The irony is hard to ignore. Those entrusted with protecting Nigeria's laws and resources should have been the strongest examples of integrity. If a former public official ends up losing properties through legal forfeiture proceedings, it raises serious questions about how public office was used. Nigeria deserves leaders who leave behind a legacy of service—not controversies over wealth and accountability.
