𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘, 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗗𝗖

Greetings my great people, lovers of democracy and faithful supporters of our great party, the 𝗡𝗗𝗖.

I greet you today with deep respect, with humility, and with 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 to all your households.

Since yesterday after the release of the official 𝗡𝗗𝗖 candidate list, my phone has not rested. I have received calls, messages and voices filled with pain and anger, especially from our own 𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢 who feel sidelined and forgotten without a single name on that list.

My dear people, I have heard you. I feel your pain. Your anger is valid because I am one of you.

But I stand before you today as a man of 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘, 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 and 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧 to make a passionate appeal. We must not allow the opposition to use this small internal moment as an opportunity to weaken us.

We are 𝗡𝗗𝗖. And 𝗡𝗗𝗖 is not just a party, 𝗡𝗗𝗖 is the last hope of the common Nigerian. 𝗡𝗗𝗖 is a party of 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 and 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 to a people who are tired.

My people, Nigerians are tired of the ruling party. They have fought us at every single opportunity they see because they know we are the true voice of the people.

Shall we forget so soon?

𝗧𝗔𝗫𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧, 𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 where a man does not know where his next meal will come from, 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 on our roads where our people can no longer travel in peace, 𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 that is now killing the living, and 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 in the ruling party that they no longer even hide or do in secret places anymore. That is what they have given us.

That is the real enemy, not ourselves. Our fight is not against each other, our fight is against bad governance, against poverty, against injustice. Let us not do the work of the opposition for them.

𝗡𝗗𝗖 is an ideology. An ideology of justice, equity, fairness, inclusion and service to the people. That is the democracy we believe in, and that is the kind of leadership we saw in His Excellency Mr Peter Obi. A leadership of integrity, humility and servant leadership.

Let us remember, politics is a game of interest, and the interest of 𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢 must be protected. But it must be protected with wisdom, not with war.

I assure you Umu Ngwo, at this very moment we are in deep and strategic engagement with the leadership of our great party. This is not a battle for social media, it is a matter for the roundtable. We are negotiating with facts, with respect and with the strength of our unity.

Therefore I call on all our supporters, stakeholders, youth and elders:

Let us choose 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 over sentiment. Let us choose 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 over anger. Let us choose 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 and 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧 over division.

Do not allow this moment to break us. Igwe bu ike. Our strength is in our togetherness.

Remain calm, remain focused and keep your eyes on the bigger picture, 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳. Let us stand firm and work with whoever our great party finally presents to us, for the betterment of 𝗡𝗗𝗖 and for the betterment of all Nigerians.

We will not be sidelined. We will not be forgotten. Better days are ahead.
