Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of operating a fake government agency in the name of the Presidency, has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force after weeks on the run.

The case has drawn widespread attention after a review of the 2026 Appropriation Act showed that the PFIPC is listed under the Presidency with a budget allocation of N1.3 billion.

Authorities say he is facing multiple charges, including forgery, conspiracy and impersonation.
