🚨🎙️Thierry Henry expressed his disappointment in the France coach for benching Kante in all games:

N’Golo Kanté should never have been on the bench throughout this tournament. Never. This is a player who has carried us on his shoulders for years — a midfield destroyer, a leader, a winner. His energy, his intelligence, his ability to win the ball and protect the defence is irreplaceable. You don’t leave that kind of player watching from the sidelines in a World Cup.

I respect the coach, but this decision was a mistake. A big one. We saw what happened against Spain: we lacked control, we lacked legs in the middle, and we missed the heart that Kanté always gives us. You cannot win major tournaments without your best players on the pitch.

N’Golo deserved better. French football deserved better. Let’s learn from this and stop overthinking what’s already proven: when Kanté plays, France are a different team.
