If Nigeria’s medical and judicial systems were functioning as they should, a significant number of politicians and political appointees would be flagged for mental‑health assessment and access management. The level of erratic behaviour displayed in public office suggests that many individuals currently wielding authority would, under a properly regulated system, be deemed unfit for public responsibility.
A nation cannot progress when unstable leadership is repeatedly granted access to power without scrutiny.
