Thousands of supporters welcomed Mohamed Salah and the Egypt🇪🇬 national team home at Alamein International Airport following their historic run at the #FIFAWC2026.

Egypt reached the last 16 for the first time before suffering a controversial 3-2 defeat to Argentina in Atlanta. Still, Egypt’s World Cup campaign was a run that made history, changed the Pharaohs' global perception, and wrote one of the finest chapters in Egyptian football.

Head coach Hossam Hassan, Mohamed Salah, Yasser Ibrahim, Mostafa Zico and the Egypt squad received Egyptian flags, greeted officials and children, and waved to huge crowds from the team bus as supporters celebrated the country’s best World Cup campaign.
