GTCO Tops Proshare's FY2025 PBSI Ranking Ahead of Access Holdings and Zenith Bank; Wema Bank Debuts in Tier 1
Nigeria's banks have completed the largest recapitalisation in the sector's modern history, N4.65trn raised across 33 institutions. But in Proshare's fifth edition Tier 1 Banks Report, the question is no longer how much capital was raised; it's what banks do with it.
Under the upgraded Proshare Bank Strength Index v3.4, GTCO leads the Class of 2026, ahead of Access Holdings and Zenith Bank, with Wema Bank making a landmark debut in fourth place.
