HAPPENED IN ANAMBRA STATE

This woman’s husband was rushing to save their child who is convulsing, but was arrested during an environmental sanitation exercise last week Saturday being 4th of July .

Even after explaining about the emergency, he was still detained, and the child d!es.

According to the wife, he was was taken to the Anambra East Local Government security cell. Even after the child’s death, he was reportedly still not released yet, despite the wife’s request to see him cos the baby was still breathing then. we need to ask some hard questions:

Why not seize the motorcycle if necessary and allow the father to go save his child? Why should enforcing environmental laws come before saving a human life? Shouldn’t there be room for compassion during genuine emergencies?

Government agencies and security personnel should be trained to balance law enforcement with humanity. Protecting lives must always come first.

Look at how they put this woman in distress, imagine losing your baby because of untrained securities.
