DON'T BOAST IN THE FLESH

Luke 22:31,33-34 KJV
[31] And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: [33] And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. [34] And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

The closest and the biggest enemy of any man is the flesh. The ignorance of this fact has led to many people ending up not only disappointed about life, but living a failed life. There is no single gain in the flesh as stated by Jesus. There is no profit in the flesh and you must therefore not rely on it nor boast about it.
John 6:63 KJV
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Jesus told Peter that the devil was about to steal his heart but he responded that it is not possible. He was boasting about his flesh with the ignorance that flesh easily fails a man. He said even if it is prison or death, he will never back down from following Jesus. He eventually denied Jesus three times. Beloved, you must be careful never to make your boast in the flesh. It took the flesh to tempt Jesus to abandon the works of redemption. He prayed severally in the garden of Gethsemane but was only helped by the Spirit of God. If the flesh could make an attempt at making Jesus deny His purpose, you should know that you cannot rely on the flesh or boast about what you can do or cannot do.
Matthew 26:38-39 KJV
Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. [39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
If you are successful in anything, you must learn to give back the glory to God. You must realize and understand it takes the strength of God to prevail.
1 Samuel 2:9 KJV
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
You do not conceive and have a child because you have a womb but because God made it happen. You do not pass that interview because you are smart but because you enjoyed the help of God. Otherwise there are lots of people who have a brain in their head but it did not work as intelligent as yours. Dont accept or allow anyone to lure you into making noise about your achievement in the absence of the One who gave you life that was used in doing what you did. Let your boast be in the Lord and the power of His Spirit at work in you. Do not jeopardize the opportunity and possibility of enjoying more victories in life by ignoring the hand of God in your success..
