BETRAYAL
Glistening with tears
Mingled with pain and anguish
After realizing what had transpired.

The ones you loved,
Suddenly evolved,
Turning their backs against you.

Indeed the mirror is such a deceitful object.
It only reveals the outward appearance,
But hides the evil intention of man.

The world is indeed dynamic.
The word LOVE is evolving –
Into HATE.

You may not feel it now,
But definitely as you climb higher
You will look down and see those
Praying with fire
For you to slip and fall –
To become a pitiful doll.

I thought they loved me?
A question I kept asking myself.
They were just cheering for me –
Not to win, but to fall.

With their arms wide opened,
I thought I could rest in their arms.
But no! Their arms faded away,
As I banged into the Rock.

I was so ballsy.
Trying my best to get up,
But those efforts were futile.

In my weakness, I clung unto the Rock.
I opened my eyes slowly,
Only to realize that all my tears, sorrows and worries,
Were left on the Rock.

I could move faster,
Because my burden was taken away,
By the solid Rock.

"The Rock holds every believer whenever we face difficult situations. Jesus is the Rock that will never leave nor forsake you".
