NSA, SECURITY AGENCIES RESCUE 16 EKITI CHURCH ABDUCTEES

In a separate operation, 16 worshippers abducted from Christ Apostolic Church in Eda Oniyo, Ekiti State, have been rescued after more than two months in captivity. The kidnappers had demanded an outrageous ransom reportedly put at one billion naira before reducing it substantially. The victims were moved through dense forests across state boundaries, a tactic increasingly adopted by kidnappers to frustrate pursuit and complicate rescue efforts. Intelligence-led operations and inter-agency coordination under the National Security Adviser's office facilitated the release. Tragically, one of the captives died during the ordeal.
