Cross-chain infrastructure is shifting toward Chainlink CCIP.

More than $7.2B in cross-chain and wrapped assets have migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP since May, with Mantle becoming the latest project to move high-value token transfers.

Mantle is migrating its Super Portal from LayerZero’s OFT standard to Chainlink’s CCT standard, following similar moves from Kelp, Lombard, Solv, Kraken’s tokenized assets, Virtuals and others.

The reason is simple: bridges remain one of crypto’s biggest security risks, and projects are becoming more selective about the infrastructure that moves assets across chains.
