Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governors of the 36 States, Chairmen of the 774 Local Government Areas, Opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians are writing with deep concern on behalf of millions of Nigerians who continue to suffer and die from preventable flooding disasters across our country. Year after year, communities are washed away, children lose their homes, and families are displaced because public officials fail to use Nigerian tax money responsibly to protect lives.
The recent erosion and flooding along the Orimedu coastline is yet another painful reminder. Heavy rainfall and unstable sandy soil are destroying homes and livelihoods, while residents live in fear. These tragedies are not acts of fate—they are consequences of government inaction.
Respectfully we ask a simple question why are some of you not using Nigerian tax money to build proper drainage systems, shoreline protections, flood barriers, and resilient infrastructure that could save lives? Why must Nigerians continue to die when solutions exist and funds are available?
We humbly demand that this negligence must stop.
To the 240 million Nigerians across the 36 states and 774 LGAs we urge you to elect leaders who genuinely love and care for Nigerian children, families, and communities. Do not re-elect governors or officials who are incompetent, corrupt, or who misuse or steal public funds. We know that 240 million Nigerians have lost trust in the courts and the EFCC, believing that corrupt politicians often go unpunished and even return as ministers or presidents. This cycle must end now 7/11/2026
Our nation deserves leaders who protect lives, invest in infrastructure, and use tax money transparently for the benefit of all.
We demand for urgent action to prevent further flooding deaths and to safeguard every community—coastal, rural, and urban.
