Daniel Bwala’s claim that a ₦60,000 salary is somehow better than the wages earned by UK care workers is absolutely
ridiculous. It is deeply misleading for anyone to present such arguments to Mr President. ₦60,000 is barely equivalent to about £30 — an amount many people in the UK spend on a single day’s shopping.
Bwala seems to forget that many of us travel home to Nigeria frequently, and we see firsthand the deplorable living conditions our people are facing. We support family and community members financially because the hardship is undeniable.
Instead of making careless statements that embarrass both himself and the APC government, Bwala should focus on the real issues Nigerians are dealing with. Nigerians understand the situation far better than these political distractions.

#60,000 that can't even pay house rent and food for 1 month.
Comparing it to UK wages is an insult.
Leaders need to come down and see how people are really living.
