I am relieved that the children and the remaining teachers have finally been released after 64 painful days in captivity. My heart goes out to them and their families. I can't imagine the trauma these children have endured, and I sincerely hope they receive the care and support they need to heal.

I also commend the courage of the female teacher who, under extremely difficult circumstances, was forced to act as the kidnappers' spokesperson to deliver their messages. It must have taken incredible strength to endure such an ordeal.

May the teacher who lost his life rest in perfect peace. My deepest condolences to his family, colleagues, and loved ones.

I hope those responsible are brought to justice, and that stronger measures are put in place to better protect our schools, teachers, and children from such tragedies in the future.
