๐Ÿ“Š THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE. BWALA DOES. ๐Ÿ“Š

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President, says Nigerians abroad are "suffering" despite degrees and foreign salaries. Let's check the receipts.

THE DIASPORA "SUFFERING" BWALA WANTS YOU TO PITY:

๐Ÿ’ฐ 15/hour minimum wage (USA) = โ‚ฆ22,500/hour at current rates. Nigeria's MONTHLY minimum wage? โ‚ฆ70,000. That's 3 hours of foreign "suffering."

๐Ÿ“ˆ Nigerians in diaspora remitted 20.1 BILLION in 2023 more than Nigeria's oil revenue. If they're "suffering," they're suffering productively.

๐ŸŽ“ 90%+ employment rate for Nigerian immigrants with degrees in UK/Canada/US. Meanwhile, NG unemployment hit 33.3% in 2020 and has only worsened.

๐Ÿฅ Life expectancy: Nigeria 55 years. UK 81. US 77. "Suffering" abroad adds 20+ years to your life.

NOW, THE HOME REALITY BWALA IGNORES:

๐Ÿ“‰ Naira crashed from โ‚ฆ360/ in 2019 to โ‚ฆ1,500+/ in 2024 a 317% devaluation under this government's watch.

๐Ÿš Food inflation: 40.66% (March 2024). Families skipping meals. But sure, pity the diaspora.

โšก Grid collapsed 12+ times in 2024. "Suffering" abroad includes 24/7 electricity.

๐ŸŽ“ 2.5 million graduates enter the job market yearly. Only 10% find formal employment. Those degrees Bwala mentioned? Worth more in ANY foreign country than here.

๐Ÿ”ซ Bandits killed 8,000+ Nigerians in 2023. "Suffering" abroad doesn't include kidnapping on your commute.

BWALA'S REAL MESSAGE:

"Don't complain about our failure look, people abroad have problems too!"

Classic deflection. Classic lack of empathy. Classic cluelessness from Aso Rock.

THE TRUTH?

Nigerians abroad aren't asking for pity. They're asking why their government made leaving the ONLY option. They're asking why Bwala's salary is paid in NAIRA but his sympathy is reserved for those earning DOLLARS.

If the diaspora is "suffering," what do you call 220 million Nigerians trapped in a country where poverty rate is 63% and multi-dimensional poverty affects 133 million people?

Bwala, the data is clear: The real suffering is at home. And you're part of the government causing it.
