2027: Folarin, Adelabu, Others Hold Closed-door Meeting In Ibadan.

Former Senate Leader and Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, Senator Teslim Folarin, former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu and Senator, Dr. Abdulfatai Buhari have held a closed door meeting on the way forward for the party in 2027.

Others in attendance at the meeting were the former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan and other notable leaders from the 33 local government area.

The meeting which was held at an undisclosed location was conveyed by the former Senate leader.

Nigerian Tribune recalls that the covener of the meeting have not been attending the meetings of the party since the declaration of Senator Sharafadeen Ali as the governorship candidate of the party.

Also, there were protests by the various groups on the emergence of some candidates for the various elective positions in 2027.

The development led to the setting up of Senator Femi Lanlehin Reconciliation Committee by the leadership of the party.

The state chairman of the party, Chief Moses Alake charged the members of the party to unify the members to put it in good steady for the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile. a source closed to the meeting informed that the leaders are discussing strategies for working with other stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen the party’s structure and deliver Oyo State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
