O heavens, whose clouds bear both the waters of life and the rains of trial, look with mercy upon the flooded homes of the poor, the displaced families, and every heart made heavy by sudden loss.

Grant them strength to endure, hope to persevere, and comfort amid the storm. And awaken in those of us upon higher ground a love that cannot remain still. Remind us that we are one human family, bound by the same breath of life. When one soul suffers, let every heart be moved—not only to sympathy, but to compassion that reaches across the waters with open hands, lifting the weary and assuring them that, even in the flood, they are neither unseen nor forgotten.
