Priscilla Aliu: This is very timely and constructive. The need for State Police is now a Clarion call to Nigeria. This public hearing gives us the opportunity to know what is at stakes right now with where we are with it. Please let them not complicate the State Police operations with rules and regulations.

With proper safeguards against political abuse, state policing can strengthen grassroots security, improve intelligence gathering, and ensure faster, more effective responses to crime.
