The North won’t vote for Peter Obi” - Ali Modu Sheriff at Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye interview

😆 😝 😂! This is a political playbook by an individual who brought terror upon his own people all in the name ousting President Goodluck Jonathan from office. What can’t he say or do to stay relevant?

“The North won’t vote X” has been used in Nigeria since the inception of democracy since 1999. To the regional political errand boys who says it, it creates a self-fulfilling perception: if enough people believe it, donors pull back, alliances freeze, and voters in the North assume “my vote won’t matter.” That’s the classic “divide and rule” effect — split the opposition base before ballots are printed.
