Your Excellency President Tinubu, opposition parties, independent candidates, senators, courts, efcc 240 million Nigerians are
writing to express a clear and urgent demand shared by many Nigerians who feel deeply frustrated by the ongoing economic hardship and the lack of direct accountability from major corporations operating in our country.
We insist that the Federal Government compel MTN to use its profits to compensate Nigerians directly through transparent phone alerts. No slogans, no political messaging, no delays—just direct financial relief to Nigerians who continue to bear the brunt of economic instability in SA
The recent Senate decision rejecting calls to use South African companies' profits to compensate victims of xenophobic attacks has only intensified public concern. Nigerians are asking why foreign companies continue to profit massively from our market while ordinary citizens receive nothing in return.
We also demand that MTN be replaced with a Nigerian‑owned telecommunications company capable of hiring millions of Nigerians and reinvesting profits back into our economy. A nation of over 240 million people deserves a telecom sector that is fully Nigerian, fully accountable, and fully committed to national development.
Our message is simple MTN must leave Nigeria, and its profits must be used to compensate Nigerians directly. We expect decisive action, not promises.
