FG Releases EIA Approvals for Sections I & II of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway

The Federal Ministry of Environment granted Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approvals for Sections I and II of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway — covering 47.5km from Ahmadu Bello Way, Eko Atlantic City to Eleko, and 55.5km from Eleko to Ode-Omi at the Lagos–Ogun border.

Both approvals were dated 8th November 2024. The approval come with strict conditions, including a Resettlement Action Plan, a Livelihood Restoration Plan, a Shoreline Protection Programme, and an MoU with host communities.
