I have learned another dimension to prayer as a sickle cell warrior.
Sometimes or most times,
Trigeminal neuralgia, a sickle cell complication, causes excruciating shock pain,
Whenever I utter words, smile, laugh, or use my mouth.
So, to pray without using my mouth to prevent the excruciating pain,
I pray in my mind when it is calm,
Or pray in my heart when my mind is troubled by the pain.
God answers our prayers,
Whether we pray with our mouth, in our mind, or in our heart.
God answers our prayers.
