ALCOHOL IS NOT FOR YOU

Numbers 6:1-3 KJV
[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the LORD: [3] He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

The argument about whether a believer can take alcohol or not is something that has generated unnecessary rancor in the body of Christ. This is because people tend to interpret the Bible to justify their lust or wrongdoings. The unfortunate thing is that most of the people that justify this belief do not always look at the Bible from a balanced perspective. Since the scripture CANNOT speak against itself because God is not the author of confusion, it should have helped in making the truth easily visible.
1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
The above scripture is necessary because the Bible says give alcohol to someone who wants to perish and one of the things that God fights against in our lives so that we do not perish.
Proverbs 31:6 KJV
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
If that is the case, God cannot be fighting against the believer perishing and still be encouraging him to do what will make him perish.
However, the text says that anyone that is chosen by God to serve Him must never take alcohol because they are joined to the Lord. God is invariably saying that if you have my Spirit, you must not be involved in alcohol. If believers therefore share the same Spirit with God, it then means that we should never be involved in drinking alcohol. The only thing that will make anyone drink alcohol after knowing this is the selfishness of loving a sinful life. As much as alcohol does not add any value to life, there should never be a reason for anyone indulging in it if not for the devil being behind such because he wants you to be a victim of liver failure and other diseases attached to the consumption of alcohol. You can stop it today because of your love for God and stop defiling the temple of God.
