If We’re Reforming NYSC, It Should No Longer Be Mandatory - Kila

Let those who genuinely want to serve participate in NYSC, and let’s focus on making the programme safe and worthwhile for them. The truth many people aren’t saying is that there are people in this country who use NYSC as a way to secure placements or opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise get, and as a result, some people begin their careers with advantages that aren’t based on merit.
