Nigerian students Egejurum Onyedikachi Ethan (11), Onwubiko Chimduebube Victor (13), and Don Anele Munachimso Marvelous (17) are representing Nigeria at the 2026 International STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy, competing against students from 154 countries in mathematics and science.

The trio, accompanied by their teachers, are competing in Mathematics and Science events at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. These three mathematical geniuses qualified for this global stage after outstanding performances at the South East Mathematics Olympiad, a competition organised by education advocate and Educare CEO, Alex Onyia, which attracted more than 11,500 contestants.

Their flights, accommodation, and visas were fully sponsored by Onyia, the CEO of Educare. “I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages,” he said. “In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.”
