And Paraguay's World Cup came to an end with a polemic display. Gustavo Alfaro's side committed 13 fouls in what was an ugly contest in the heat of Philadelphia, but remarkably, they weren't shown a single yellow card.

Kylian Mbappé was on the receiving end of most of the hostile treatment but he saw the funny side at full-time, leaving the pitch smiling. And he certainly had the last laugh, since now, thanks to Paraguay's brutality causing a penalty that of course Mbappé wouldn't miss, he has 19 goals in 19 World Cup games ⚽🔥.

And Kylian Mbappé is also the ONLY player to score 3+ goals in the knockout stage in THREE different World Cups 👑:

Paraguay only completed 54% of their passes vs. France, which is the lowest passing accuracy in a World Cup knockout match in the last 60 years. And a huge disappointment to see after their heroic display against Germany.

Still, France keep it together through it all and secured the victory that puts them a step closer to their goal of achieving a third World Cup 🏆.
