Believers self-control is the foundational virtue and a direct fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is a Spirit-empowered discipline that enables believers to resist temptation, regulate their passions, and align their thoughts and daily actions with God’s will. A person without self-control is like a city with broken walls, leaving them completely vulnerable to temptation and spiritual attack. Regulating your actions and words allows a believer to remain sober-minded and steadfast, reflecting the character of Jesus.
