Your field team is ambushed on a rural road in Borno State. The lead vehicle has been disabled by gunfire. Armed attackers are approaching rapidly from both sides of the road.

What is the immediate priority for your non-combatant humanitarian team?

A. Keep all team members low in vehicles, do not resist, comply with attacker instructions calmly, and focus entirely on survival. no asset is worth a life.

B. Return fire immediately if any team member is carrying a firearm. Show strength first.

C. Exit all vehicles immediately and disperse into the surrounding bush to reduce your grouped vulnerability.

D. Drive the second vehicle at speed through the attackers to break the ambush and create an escape corridor.
