There are depths in God. There are dimensions in Him. Men encounter them, yet too often we turn them into badges of spirituality, measuring ourselves against one another instead of measuring ourselves against His purpose.

Little do we realize that the depths and dimensions God grants are not rewards for comparison but invitations to refinement. They are tailored to His plan for each life. The depth of a worshipper is not the same as the depth of a teacher. Neither is it the same as that of a king, a prophet, or a servant. Each calling requires a different revelation because each assignment demands a different measure of grace.

In the same way, it is with burdens.

The burden that produces patience in one may look nothing like the burden that shapes another. What we are called into determines, in part, the weight we are called to carry. God does not distribute burdens carelessly; He entrusts them according to purpose, knowing that every weight is preparing someone for an assignment.

So the next time you hear someone speak of a "dimension," do not conclude that you are behind or doing less. It may simply be a dimension that does not belong to your calling, and when it seems your burden is heavier than everyone else's, do not envy another's path. Burdens are not meant to be compared. A mountain does not envy the ocean for its depth, nor does the ocean envy the mountain for its height. Each reveals a different aspect of the Creator's wisdom.

So it is with us.

No burden is light to the one called to carry it. Every burden is heavy but every burden, surrendered to God, becomes a tool of refinement, shaping us into the very people our calling requires us to become. Do not chase another person's dimension. Pursue God's purpose for your life, and the depths you need will meet you there.

There are depths in God. There are dimensions in Him. Men encounter them, yet too often we turn them...

Gladden Ngozi: Powerful perspective. Comparison is the thief of purpose, not just joy. Every burden is tailor-made for the assignment.
This is deep. Thank you. ๐Ÿ™
Comfort Yako Asala: We often look at others and think their life or calling is "easy" just because their struggle doesn't look like ours. The teacher envies the prophet's fire; the prophet envies the teacher's peace. But every path has its hidden friction. Total surrender (like we say it here; know God for yourself) is...
